Awards


  • The Harry P. Cooper, Jr., Industry/Public Image Award recognizes an individual IIAI agency member who enhances the public image of the insurance profession through his or her professional activities, personal integrity and visible profile in both the business and public communities.

  • Agency of the Year is presented to a member agency that exemplifies leadership and innovation within the system through strong growth, innovative marketing strategies, implementation of a perpetuation plan, creative utilization of automation, and top level customer service.

  • Agent of the Year is given for the outstanding performance and achievement of an individual who is a retail agent member of the IIAI. The winner must be a licensed agent and contribute to his or her agency's performance through production and management activities.

  • Company of the Year honors a company that demonstrates the highest level of commitment to the independent agency system. This includes, but is not limited to, commitment to growth in Indiana, product development, market stability, agency support services, and consistency of company procedures, to the benefit of independent agents, their clients, and the insurance industry.

  • Company Professional of the Year is for a professional with an IIAI associate member company who demonstrates strong leadership abilities with a willingness to assist independent agents; regularly supports the IIAI; and fosters quality company/agent relations.

  • Distinguished Customer Service Representative is presented to an IIAI member agency employee who demonstrates and values loyalty, dedication to the job and agency, and continued professional growth.

  • Young Agent of the Year goes to a retail agent of IIAI who meets the criteria of a "Young Agent" (under age 41 or less than 6 years as an agent in the insurance industry) who has demonstrated commitment to the IIAI, while at the same time demonstrating personal and professional growth in the insurance industry and serving his or her community.
